Skegness Town JFC are now fully operational with the FA Matchday App ahead of the 2020/21 football season.

The FA Matchday App is a fully integrated management facility for clubs, managers, players and parents. The App is linked to club players through the FA Whole Game System and also connects with the FA Full Time website, meaning that users have access to fixture information, results, training sessions and other activities by just logging into the App on their mobile devices.

Speaking about the App, head coach Dale Houlston said, “The FA Matchday App makes life so much easier for everyone. Coaches can record team selections and players can RSVP their availability, so our coaches know exactly who is and isn’t available for their sessions and games. It gives everyone so much information about forthcoming events, enabling people to plan ahead. Statistics and league tables can also be viewed in the App too”.

Dale continued, “Matchday will also enable our coaches to enter information during fixtures in real-time on the touchline, from goals scored and conceded, substitutions and cautions etc. Even opponents sporting marks and the referees performance marks. And since it connects to the FA Full Time website, which is used by the league’s for administration, all of the information required to be input there can be uploaded directly from the pitch-side in real-time”.

The football club will also benefit from utilising the FA Matchday PayPal link too. In times when Covid-19 means trying to limit the handling of cash, the players and parents can pay their subscription fees online via PayPal using their accounts or credit and debit cards. On this Dale said “Being able to collect subs through the App is a massive step forward for us, meaning that coaches and parents won’t have to mess around with collecting cash and keeping track of who has or hasn’t paid. Now every manager can see through his/her own log in exactly what the payment situation is for every player in the team. We have also enjoyed receiving a £100.00 cash back introductory offer from PayPal for embracing this part of the App, which is very welcome for the club funds”.

The club is already well on the way to having every parent/carer registered with the FA Matchday App ahead of the season commencing on 13th September.
